Rock · 1980s
A rare survivor from the 1980s era of concert touring, when shirts were printed in small runs exclusively for tour audiences.
ZZ Top's Eliminator and Afterburner tours in the mid-1980s produced some of the most visually memorable merchandise of the decade, with bold automotive and pinup imagery that reflected the videos dominating MTV at the time. Stedman's Sport-T was a premium blank used by licensed merchandise vendors through much of the 1980s, and the "Made in USA" tag confirms domestic production consistent with that window. The cotton-polyester blend is slightly less common than pure cotton shirts from the period and gives this piece a distinctive drape and weight. Overall condition is strong with intact screen print and no significant distressing.
Every vintage concert t-shirt in our collection is verified against known tour records, tag manufacturer timelines, and print technique standards. Single-stitch construction and period-correct tags (Screen Stars, Brockum, Giant) confirm this is original tour merchandise — not a reprint or reproduction.
